Roadmap2Ecommerce Masterplan

CITI developed the Roadmap2Ecommerce Masterplan for the Ministry of Economic Development in Curaçao, where we set the direction for the e-commerce development in Curaçao. With the input of stakeholders, we started the process of updating the plan in 2022.

Access to payment methods and an efficient e-payment process are vital for increased e-commerce adoption. Nowadays there are several payment gateways that merchants can choose from. Do you know about future developments or anything that has to do with online or e-payment systems in Curaçao? The input from this workshop is being used for the update of the Masterplan.

 

 

 

Increasing the awareness of e-commerce by consumers in Curaçao involves building awareness and knowledge about e-commerce and creating a user-friendly experience for online shopping. Stimulation of e-commerce adoption requires multiple digital initiatives. They will focus on providing information about different online local and cross-border e-commerce offers.The input from this workshop is being used for the update of the Masterplan. 

 

 

 

The logistics sector of Curaçao promises considerable economic profits to the country. The focus is currently on imports. Improvements should be made to put the focus on export logistics. But what are the latest developments? How are the players in this sector performing? The input from this workshop is being used for the update of the Masterplan.

 

 

 

 

The regulatory framework consists of the policy, legal, and governance framework. Are there new laws that have been implemented after the presentation of this Masterplan? The input from this workshop is being used for the update of the Masterplan.

 

 

 

 

 

Building consumer awareness and trust in the electronic environment is the key element for e-commerce adoption. Developing marketing and media plans relating to e-commerce is fundamental in building consumer awareness. The input from this workshop is being used for the update of the Masterplan.

 

 

 

 

Expanding merchants’ online presence and consequently their e-commerce offers would require dedicated interventions aimed at empowering merchants and supporting them to seamlessly adopt e-commerce.
