Innovation Hub

Originally announced as the Innovation Village, it is now called the Innovation Hub. With support from the Ministry of Economic Development, CITI is working on an innovation park for Curaçao.

The announcement described an innovation park for the community:

• A place where startups prosper and businesses excel.
• A place where people come together to create innovative, sustainable solutions that drive new business and can be scaled up internationally.
• A place where the community learns about, tries out, creates, and uses new technologies and innovations.
• A place where technology and innovation improve the resilience of our society and make life better for everyone.

The plan brings together three parts:

• Activities at the Center for Entrepreneurship focus on increasing the success rate of entrepreneurs and creating jobs through innovation and technology.
• At the Learning Lab, new ways to learn, teach, and do business help participants succeed in a changing environment.
• The Innovation Lab will provide an inspiring environment for innovation, ideation, co-creation, testing, and applying (and monetizing) solutions within the principles of the circular “doughnut” economy.
