Quality Assurance Program

Curaçao is committed to giving visitors unforgettable, safe, high-quality experiences. To achieve this, the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB) and CITI invite hospitality providers, from alternative lodgings to dive operators, to take part in the Quality Assurance Program.

This program recognizes and promotes businesses that meet industry-recognized quality and safety standards, strengthening Curaçao’s reputation as a premier destination for travelers worldwide. By joining, your business benefits from official recognition, greater visibility, and professional support to grow and succeed.

Holiday accommodations

All apartments, bungalows, villas, vacation homes, and other alternative lodgings are invited to become a Quality Assured Accommodation of Curaçao.

The audit programs for the hospitality industry are an incentive for service innovation, recognizing and promoting the quality of the tourism services provided.

Participation fee

The programs are partially subsidized by the Curaçao Tourist Board, which makes participation affordable for smaller service providers. The participation fee is ANG 265 (including OB) per business.

Classification

Apartments, hotel apartments, vacation homes, and bed and breakfasts are now classified as deluxe, comfort, or economy.

Why is classification important? Classification manages expectations and narrows the gap between the quality consumers expect and the service they receive. A classification system also encourages growth and excellence, recognizes and rewards exceptional performance, and sets clear levels of performance standards. Dive operators

Curaçao is recognized worldwide as one of the top diving destinations in the Caribbean. To maintain and strengthen this reputation, dive shops and operators are invited to join the Quality Assurance Program, making sure their services meet the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer care.
