Challenge: creating engaging online activities about green skills for youth
The “Innovathon” is an ideation hackathon designed to involve a diverse audience in developing concrete solutions for real-life challenges. This year’s Mini-Innovathon centers on using the GreenKidz digital lesson materials as a foundation for new, interactive online content. Teams will work together to turn these educational resources into youth-friendly, self-guided learning experiences that promote awareness of and action on sustainability.
Goal
To bring people together to brainstorm and co-create engaging digital activities that help young people in Curaçao understand and apply green skills such as:
- Climate action
- Recycling and circular economy
- Nature protection
- Clean energy
- Sustainable living
Who can take part
This Mini-Innovathon is open to a diverse mix of participants from across the island, including:
- Startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators
- Creatives, designers, and makers
- Teachers, youth workers, and students
- Developers, techies, and IT professionals
- Social workers, consultants, and community leaders
- Anyone passionate about sustainability, youth, or digital learning
